As a microfinance institution under formation, Meba Microfinance Institution S.C. has been registered with the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE).

Meba Microfinance Institution S.C. Under Formation is working to finalize NBE requirements so that it can start a full-fledged operation, having nearly finished its preparation phase. Meba MFI’s headquarters will be located in Addis Ababa.

While guaranteeing a just profit to its shareholders, Meba MFIs seek to improve the financial inclusion of communities across Ethiopia that lack access to financing and financial services from traditional banks. At the moment, Meba MFI has over 980 shareholders.

Position 1: Junior/Trainee Customer Service Officer

Education:   

  •  BA Degree/College Diploma/TVET level 4 in Marketing/ Management/Accounting and Other related fields,

 Experience:  

  • Two years in a similar role out of zero years of relevant experience; solid understanding of the microfinance industry; adequate
  • familiarity with the company’s operating procedures
  • substantial familiarity with marketing and banking management
  • concepts and procedures
  • understanding of the concepts and procedures of marketing and financial management
  • Effective communication abilities

The Junior/Trainee Customer Service Officer is in charge of organizing and carrying out the identification of potential money savers, gathering macro and microeconomic performance data from multiple sources, and becoming familiar with the company’s overall and branch operations.

Position 2: Branch Cashier I

Education:   

  •   BA Degree/College Diploma/TVET level 4 in Marketing/ Management/Accounting and Other related fields,

 Experience:  

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience, including 1 year in a related role;
  • good understanding of the microfinance industry; fundamental
  • Understanding of accounting concepts
  • Fundamental understanding of records management Fundamental
  • proficiency with computers

Position 3: Customer Service Officer I

Education:   

  • BA Degree/College Diploma/TVET level 4 in Marketing/ Management/Accounting and Other related fields,

 Experience:  

  • two to three years of relevant experience, two of which were spent
  • in a role akin to this one; strong understanding of the microfinance
  • industry; adequate familiarity with the operating procedures of the company
  • substantial familiarity with marketing and banking management
  • concepts and procedures
  • understanding of the concepts and procedures of marketing and financial management.
  • Effective communication abilities

Position 4: Branch Accountant I

 Education:   

  • BA Degree/College Diploma/TVET level 4 in Accounting and Finance

 Experience:  

  • 2/3 years of relevant experience, out of which two years in a similar position
  • Good knowledge of microfinance business
  • Good knowledge of financial analyses methods and techniques
  • Good knowledge of company financial policies and NBE and FIC directives and regulations
  • Ability to compile and prepare financial reports
  • Basic computer and Peachtree application skills

Position 5: Executive Secretary 

Education:   

  • BA Degree/College Diploma/TVET level 4 in Secretarial Science and Office Management or related field

 Experience:  

  • 3/4 years of secretarial experience, including 2 years in a related
  • role; outstanding understanding of office management procedures and principles
  • Proficient in writing reports and business correspondence with a strong organizational background
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency and software application skills for secretarial management

Position 6: Executive Secretary Cashier

 Education:   

  • BA Degree/College Diploma/TVET level 4 in Secretarial Science and Office Management or related field

 Experience:  

  • 3/4 years in secretarial position out of which two years in a similar position
  • Excellent knowledge  of office management principles and practices
  • Excellent knowledge of business correspondence and  report writing
  • Ability to organize files and documents
  • Excellent communication and human relation
  • Basic computer skills and secretarial management software application skills

Position 7: Branch Manager I

Education:   

  •  BA Degree/College Diploma in Marketing/Management/Economics/Accounting or related field

 Experience:  

  • 2/4 years of relevant experience, out of which two years in a similar or senior position
  • Ability to provide leadership, communicate effectively, and promote a team approach to enhance staff commitment to successfully implement the Organization’s Strategic Plan;
  • Demonstrated technical and managerial ability, sound judgment, ability to interact and work effectively with others staff to achieve the organization goals;
  • Ability to mobilized fund from different sources.
  • Ability to work with different partners
  • Basic computer skills, Excellent written and oral communication skills

Position 8: Marketing, Planning and Business Development Officer

 Education:   

  • MA/ B.A degree in Accounting and Finance and Business Administration field of studies.

 Experience:  

  • 2/4 years of relevant experience, out of which two years in a similar position
  • Ability to provide leadership, communicate effectively, and promote a team approach to enhance staff commitment to successfully implement the Organization’s Strategic Plan;
  • Demonstrated technical and managerial ability, sound judgment, ability to interact and work effectively with others staff to achieve the organization goals;
  • Ability to mobilized fund from different sources.
  • Ability to work with different partners
  • Basic computer skills, project management software/SPSS/ STATA statically software;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Position 9: Finance and Administration Manager

Education:   

  • Hold a minimum of first degree from a recognized higher learning institution in BA/MBA/MA/MSc. in Accounting, Economics, Management, or related fields.

Experience:  

  • 8/6 years of relevant experience, out of which three years in a managerial position,Excellent understanding of innovative systems and IT infrastructures in managing MFIs.Clear understanding and experience of micro-finance industry.Demonstrated experience leading and building cohesive, high-performing teams.

Position 10: Finance and Administration Manager

Education:   

  • Hold a minimum of first degree from a recognized higher learning institution in BA/MBA/MA/MSc. in Accounting, Economics, Management, or related fields.

Experience: 

eight and a half years of relevant experience, three of those years spent in management
outstanding knowledge of cutting-edge IT infrastructures and systems for managing MFIs.
a thorough knowledge of and background in the microfinance sector.
a track record of creating and managing cohesive, productive teams.

Position 11: Operation Department Manager

Education:   

  • Hold a minimum of first degree from a recognized higher learning institution in BA/MBA/MA/MSc. in Accounting, Economics, Management, or related fields.

Experience: 

  • eight and a half years of relevant experience, three of those years spent in management
  • outstanding knowledge of cutting-edge IT infrastructures and systems for managing MFIs.
  • a thorough knowledge of and background in the microfinance sector.
  • a track record of creating and managing cohesive, productive teams.
