Sheraton Addis, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Addis Abeba is situated on a hilltop overlooking the city, wedged between the National Palace and the prime minister’s home.

The 5-star hotel in Ethiopia provides breathtaking views, acres of open space, and is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Bole International Airport. Sheraton Addis’ distinctive style, which combines African delicacy with contemporary touches, is the essence of elegant living.

Position: Guest Service Agent

EDUCATION: Diploma/certificate in Hotel Management, Front Office Operations, and Hospitality Supervision. A diploma in secretarial science and office management is necessary, as well as management, marketing management, and business administration or education.

 

EXPERIENCE: Relevant work experience in customer service-related operations is preferred.

 

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: Fluent in English conversation, well-spoken, able to read, write, and understand English. Additional languages such as French, Arabic, and Chinese are very useful.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

 

· Proficiency in English is essential for efficient communication.

 

· Requires proficient computer abilities.

 

· Expertise in hotel goods and services.

 

· Strong organizing and planning abilities.

 

· Capable of working with minimal supervision and managing several assignments.

 

. Must be extremely flexible with working hours.

It is tough to find fault with the Sheraton. After a couple of dusty and grueling weeks on the road, this is the ideal place to unwind with a bottle of excellent wine and enjoy high-style luxury. Certainly, the delights of an outside drink on a breezy evening, followed by dinner at the fine French restaurant Les Cascades or the equally pleasurable Indian dining room Shaheen, are difficult to disagree with, as is the quality of massage available in the spa. That, along with a unique ATM in the lobby and internet access throughout the hotel, makes home comforts an essential aspect of your stay.

The Addis Sheraton is without a doubt the best-looking and most attentively managed hotel in the country, and while it has a very ‘international’ feel, there is still a sense of the local in the form of some great traditional food to savour – notably the excellent breakfast buffet – as well as attentive, professional service. Gourmet in-room dining is also offered, and international cuisine is only steps away: the Sheraton has an incredible eleven restaurant and bar selections.

Addis Sheraton, situated opposite the National Palace on a hilltop overlooking the city and surrounded by beautiful floral gardens, has 294 luxurious guest rooms, including 33 suites, 20 classic suites, 9 junior suites, and 4 executive suites. There are several stores, a small spa, heated pools (complete with an underwater music system), a Vegas-style fountain light display, and a fantastic pastry cart, which is one of our personal favorites!

The Sheraton’s prime position in the heart of Addis Abeba makes it easy to access the National Museum, United Nations Conference Centre, and UNECA offices, while Merkato and Bole International Airports are just 7 kilometers away. Heated outdoor pools with towels, sun loungers, and umbrellas are available every day, and The Aqva Club has excellent sauna, massage, and jacuzzi facilities.
