2024 FHI 360 NGO Job Opening

The Crisis Response team at FHI 360 has been addressing the humanitarian crisis in Northern Ethiopia by implementing an integrated project encompassing health, nutrition, WASH, and protection to address the vital requirements of the displaced population.
First Position: Advisor for Education
REQUIREMENTS FOR EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
an advanced degree.
Ethiopian/National, proficient in both Amharic and English.
familiarity in effectively implementing educational initiatives of a comparable caliber.
Possessing the ability to influence others positively while working efficiently, cooperatively, and building strong relationships with the government at the strategic/policy and service delivery levels.
Ethiopian local networks and expertise guarantee the preservation of solid collaborations with academic institutions, civil society, and other development partners.
adequate knowledge of Ethiopia’s political, cultural, and educational background, as well as the reforms being made to the country’s educational structures and methods of delivery.
proficiency with computers and common office programs, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
familiarity with FCDO-funded initiatives.
willingness to spend 80% of working hours traveling within the project’s region or nation.
Where: Ethiopia (Any)
Second position: assistant in a pharmacy
Learning:
pharmacy associate’s degree.
Experience
two years at least of experience in the pharmacy field.
Prior experience with donor-funded initiatives, particularly USAID/BHA, is advantageous.
It is beneficial to have prior experience working with a humanitarian group.
the capacity and desire to visit the program implementation locations and remain in the field.
a valid professional license to practice pharmacy in Ethiopia that is currently in effect and unrestricted.
The ability to function in a setting where alterations in weather or security may cause physical discomfort.
outstanding writing, oral, and cross-cultural representational skills as well as interpersonal and communication abilities.
exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Office and pharmacological databases.
outstanding proficiency in the native language for communication and a working grasp of English
Technology to Be Employed:
A desktop or laptop computer, Microsoft programs (such as Office 365, SharePoint, Skype, Zoom, and Teams), a mobile device, and regular office supplies.

Position 3: Caseworker for GBV
WISH LIST OF QUALITIES:
a bachelor’s degree in political science, law, public administration, gender studies, sociology, anthropology, humanitarian studies, or a closely related field.
a year or two of NGO or CBO experience.
It is preferred to have one to two years of relevant expertise in case management and gender-based violence programming.
A master’s degree is an extra benefit.
Requires prior experience working with public institutions and/or international organizations on gender equality and women’s rights issues.
strong comprehension and practical experience in accountability and safety.
proficient in both the local tongue and English.

Post 4: Assistant for Health and Nutrition
Instruction
a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as nutrition or health.
Experience
usually calls for a minimum of three years of experience in a technical practice area or in a related administrative role supporting projects.
It’s recommended if you have previous non-governmental organization (NGO) experience.
Preferably, you have prior Microsoft Office Suite experience.
