Addis Ababa resident and Ethio-Telecom sales employee Ato Eyuel Admasu won 4 million birr in the first draw of the 32nd round of Admas Digital Lottery. Ato Eyuel is married and has two children, and he said that he plans to start his own business with the money he has received.
Three years ago, a lucky winner of 20 million birr came and claimed the prize five days before it was to be drawn.
The National Lottery announced that a lucky winner of 16 million birr has been lost.
The Enkutatash lottery is one of the lottery draws that the National Lottery Administration regularly conducts.
The 20 million birr draw was held in 2015, and 1820259 was announced as the first lucky number at the time.
Tedros Nway, the National Lottery Administration’s communications director, told Al-Alayin, “The winner of the Enkutatash lottery that was drawn last week has not yet come forward.”
The National Lottery Administration said that if the lucky winner does not come by February 30, 2016, the money will go to the government.
Ato Tewodros said that a person who had one ticket out of the 20 million birr winning numbers came and took four million birr, adding that the person who had three tickets worth 16 million birr has not come yet.
Ato Tewodros also urged lottery customers to check the lottery tickets in their hands, as there are lottery customers who do not confirm whether the lottery ticket was drawn or not.
It is worth noting that three years ago, a person who won a 20 million birr lottery came with only five days left to the prize expiration date and took 16 million birr based on the three lottery tickets he had.

According to the National Lottery Administration Act, lucky lottery winners can claim their prize within six months of the draw, but after six months, the money goes to the government treasury.
