Swiss Embassy Opening in 2025
Through the International Cooperation Department of the Swiss Embassy in Addis Ababa, the Swiss Agency for Development & Cooperation (SDC) conducts its operations in Ethiopia. In close collaboration with the Swiss Embassy in Kenya, which co-manages the Swiss Regional Program Horn of Africa, it is in charge of all international development and humanitarian assistance initiatives for the Swiss government in the nation.
The job will be headquartered at the Swiss Embassy in Addis Ababa’s Old Airport. Field trips to Ethiopia and the surrounding area are necessary for partner capacity building initiatives, financial monitoring, and document verification.
Position: Deputy Logistic Officer/Driver
Skills and Experience Requirements: • Five (5) years of relevant driving experience, preferably with a government agency or multinational organization, in logistics, automobile driving, or messenger assignments
• Technical instruction pertinent to vehicle operation and logistics
• Strong command of the Addis Ababa transportation system; • Proficiency in written and spoken English; • Basic computer skills (emails, Outlook); • Self-starter, quick learner, cooperative; • Capacity to adjust and react to changing conditions
Strong communication abilities and a high degree of integrity

• Candidates must have a current work permit in Ethiopia; the post will be based at the Swiss Embassy at Old Airport in Addis Ababa.
